Notice of Website Accessibility

Sachs Sax Caplan Kaskel & Schner, PLLC recognizes the importance of ensuring our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are committed to making our information accessible to visitors with disabilities and are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of this website.

Standard Targeted

This website is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more usable for everyone.

How We Built for Access

The redesigned site was built with accessibility as a core requirement, not an afterthought. Specific measures include:

  • Semantic HTML5 markup throughout - headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels are used correctly so screen readers can move through the content structure.
  • All images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked alt="".
  • Keyboard-operable access - all interactive elements including the site menu, forms, and calls to action are reachable and usable without a mouse.
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and background, meeting the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and user-interface elements.
  • Focus indicators are visible for keyboard users.
  • No content flashes more than three times per second.

Accessibility Widget

This site includes the UserWay accessibility widget, available on every page. The widget is an optional supplement that offers tools some visitors find helpful, such as text size adjustments, contrast modes, and reading guides. It is not a substitute for the site's own accessibility: the website is built to be accessible on its own and remains usable with the widget turned off. The widget icon appears at the edge of each page.

Ongoing Commitment

Sachs Sax Caplan Kaskel & Schner, PLLC continues to review and improve the accessibility of this site as technology and best practices evolve. We welcome feedback and suggestions to guide those efforts.
